My niece, Shell, has an anniversary coming up so she was ready to do some photocrafting for a special gift. She really likes to support small businesses and artists, and Etsy is a great place to get unique personalized gifts for your significant other. Of course, that includes personalized photo gifts just perfect for photocrafting. Shell found an Etsy shop called CreateGiftLove that offers personalized wood and leather gifts and decided on a photo keychain.
What could be more special than sending your mother a personalized photo vase filled with colorful roses? That’s our photocrafting project for today! Mother’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your mother or a mother figure in your life with a special and personal photocrafting gift.
So how did Mother’s Day begin? The Greeks paid annual homage to Cybele, the mother figure of their gods, and the Romans dedicated an annual spring festival to the mother of their gods. In 16th century England a celebration called “Mothering Sunday” was inaugurated—a Sunday set aside for visiting one’s mother. In 1914 in the U.S., President Woodrow Wilson designated the second Sunday in May to be Mother’s Day. Today, Mother’s Day is celebrated in several countries around the world at different points during the year and according to varying cultural traditions.
We’ve posted about several ideas already that would make special photocrafting Mother’s Day gifts: a fun mug, a cozy throw, a cute tote bag. The coronavirus has many of us staying at home and most of us adjusting to new ways of living. Hopefully photocrafting is still a fun part of your week — and even an occasional escape. We propose to combine the news and adjustments into a photocrafting history especially since it can involve at-home kids as well as adults!
I wanted to find something fun as an add-on to my nephew’s Easter basket. Of course, I see this as an excuse for photocrafting so was happy to find an Easter egg themed Memory Match game at the Personalization Mall. A Memory Match Game requires players to spot the identical pairs in a set of cards. The cards are placed face down and turned over two at a time with the goal of matching pairs together with the help of your memory. These rules below are for a 2-person game.
